During the next south American summer, we will be celebrating four years of Excéntrico, the International Critical Pornographies Film Exhibition from Chile. Our event takes place both virtual and in-person with cinema events in the cities of Valparaíso and Santiago de Chile.

Over three years, Excéntrico has brought together more than 200 filmmakers from 22 counties into an independent, non competitive, self-managed and non profit oriented event.

Embracing the idea of the “Porn Dystopia”, the international call for our next edition (read here) seeks to challenge the futuristic and enlightened promise of reproductive and anthropocentric sexuality. This considers 3 curatorial lines around the topics of fantasy, monstrosity and ecosexuality.

How can we connect the languages of the explicit, the erotic and the pornographic with the various figurations of monstrosity, mutation, body modification and abnormality? How can we explore contemporary problems and reparative practices associated with ecological devastation, extractivism and ecocide through porn? How can we expand our pornographic imagination in connection with science fiction, the dreamlike, spiritual and extraterrestrial worlds?

Join us! The call for submissions is open till September 12th (final deadline). We accept short and feature films of any genre: documentary, video art, music video, experimental, animation and more. You just need to fulfill the technical conditions and selection criteria included in our call.
